MNA Ibadullah distributes PPEs in Shangla hospitals

SHANGLA: Member national assembly from Shangla, NA-10, Ibadullah Khan distributed Personal Protective Equipment among the doctors and paramedics in Shangla hospitals here on Saturday.

MNA and chairman standing committee on communication, Doctor Ibadullah, handed over PPEs kits to the district headquarters hospital MS Doctor Shafiul-Mulk as the district facilities had been facing shortage of equipment though suspected patients of covid-19 quarantined at the different facilities also a confirmed case isolated at DHQ hospital in Alpuri.

MNA said a special laboratory for the coronavirus test should established at the division level as the division all districts tests await for weeks and the health staff faced difficulties.

He said, he had made a promise with the Shangla health staff of providing PPEs and now fulfilled it.

POSITIVE CASE: A second positive case of Covid-19 confirmed here on Saturday by the district administration Shangla in the district taking the tally of positive case to 02, while 45 suspected cases reported so far.

The DC Shangla, Imran Hussain Ranjha, said a suspected case of a pharmacy technician of Baily Baba Shangla who work at Kalam in Swat, resulted positive of coronavirus.

He said, after the case confirmation the Baily baba area had been sealed and people restricted to their houses, however, the patient family quarantined and ailing health staffer isolated at DHQ hospital in Alpuri.

The DC said according to the patient history that he had treated a patient of Covid-19 in Kalam, Swat and returned home on March, 27 and kept himself quarantined at his home.

He said, samples were also taken of the patient family members and sent for the test.

The district had new 05 suspected cases on Saturday and total 45 so far in which 27 have been resulted negative, two positive in which a covid 19 patient had been recovered.

RELIEF PACKAGES: The Al-Khidmat foundation distributed foods packages among daily wagers in Bisham tehsil here on Saturday who had suffered financially due to lockdown.

Qasim Shah, the Al-Khidmat Foundation official, said they have distributed over 200 packages among the needy families since a week and 50 packages among poor families in Bisham Sadin area.

He said, they identify the needy people and drop the packages to them regularly as daily wagers and poor people had financial problem due to constant lockdown in the area.
