Multi-million uplift projects inaugurated in Shangla KP

SHANGLA: Advisor to the prime minister on political and public affairs, national heritage & culture, Amir Muqam has inaugurated multi-million uplift projects in the various parts of Shangla on Saturday, which were tenderized recently under the world bank and Asian development bank funds programs.

The PM advisor and president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Amir Muqam visited different tehsils of Shangla on Saturday where he inaugurated multiple mega infrastructure projects including heritage sites.

The PML-N leader spoke to inaugural ceremonies on the occasion held at Chawga, Aloch, Yakhtangay in Puran, Malak Khel Kotkay, Kuza Alpuri, Pagorai in Alpuri and Dandai, Batkot, Bisham where the PML-N local party leadership was present.

Mr Muqam inaugurated the renovation and preservation of the Sufi-poet Hafeez-i-Alpuri tomb located in Kuz Alpuri.

He said on the occasion that the preservation of the sufi-poet Hafeez Alpuri tomb was his dream as he was a big and famous name in the Pashtu literature for the Shangla who contributed to the district in the past through his poetic verses.

Amir Muqam inaugurated Karora-Ajmeer, Karora-Chakesar, Danda- Chakesar, 11KV transmission line at Batkot, Mian Kaly, Pagorai, Rahim Abad villages electrification schemes, blacktopping of Alpuri-Bisham road.

He also inaugurated Board to Puran road, road to 132KV Malak Khel Kotkay grid station, Chawga-Kuz Paw and Chawga-Machkandai road and other small projects on the occasion.

Addressing to a major ceremony of the projects in Alpuri, Mr Muqam said while criticizing the PDM allies, people vote to those parties who had even no direct contact with the federal government and their leaders request to prime minister because they could not earn one or two seats in the country.

He said instead of giving vote to those parties, you (public) should vote to the direct major party of the country at least he was the only person had direct affiliation with the federal major party.

The PML-N KP chief said he would initiate more uplift projects in the coming weeks and opening new utility stores in the district to facilitate the local people.

He said with the construction of new roads, expending them to the tourist destinations would help the region economically and also to ease the local masses lives for their smooth travel on them.

Mr Muqam said the Shangla people had never disappointed him in the past and always voted him in the elections since 2000 he first came into the politics.

He appealed the local people to vote him in the upcoming elections so that he could make government in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and become chief minister and that would be the day of progress of Shangla and the rest of the province.
