Chitralis end strike on assurance of PM’s adviser Amir Muqam

Islamabad: On the assurance of Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political and Public Affairs, Engineer Amir Muqam, the 30-day sit-in and hunger strike camp of the Chitral Tahafuz Movement in front of the National Press Club Islamabad was ended.

Addressing the sit-in participants in front of the National Press Club, the Advisor to the Prime Minister said that all the mega projects of Chitral were built by former Prime Minister Quaid Nawaz Sharif. He said that PTI is the party that snatches all the development projects from the people of Chitral.

The advisor to the Prime Minister said that there is no example of the number of projects done in Chitral during the tenure of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said that the network of gas projects, expressways, and roads were built by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif which was taken away by PTI. He said that we also have complaints that we did a lot for the people of Chitral but they did not give the same response during the 2018 general elections.

Adviser to Prime Minister for Political and Public Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam while addressing the participants said that on their request former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif constructed the Lowari Tunnel to facilitate the people of Chitral.

Engineer Amir Muqam said that even during the later floods, he was at the forefront to serve the people of Chitral. He said that the Golan Gol project was also gifted by Nawaz Sharif.

Despite doing all this, however, the results of the Chitral elections in 2018 were disappointing.

Engineer Amir Muqam said that cruel PTI people came into power and they had taken away what they got.

He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif approved the electricity projects for the areas of Chitral.

Engineer Amir Muqam said that the people of Chitral are peace-loving and sincere people.

Engineer Amir Muqam said that he was participating in the sit-in here today as a Chitrali, adding that “We are your representatives and your voice”. He said that PML N has done a lot for you in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Engineer Ameer Muqam said that PML-N has given a lot to Chitral and we hope you also don’t let us down. He said that I am an advocate for Chitral people and I hope you too stand with me. He said that the future belongs to Muslim League-N and Quaid Nawaz Sharif.

Engineer Amir Muqam said that I will also talk to the Prime Minister and the government regarding your demands and reservation.

The protesters ended a hunger strike lasting more than 30 days after the assurance of Adviser to PM Engr Amir Muqam.
