Cricket World Cup matches are being played in England and Wales. 11th match of ICC World Cup was scheduled between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in County Ground, Bristol on Friday, June 7. This match abandoned due to heavy rain in Bristol. The rain stopped but not quite soon enough for it help get the game on. The umpires have called it off, presumably because of an unsafe outfield. Pakistan and Sri Lanka take a point each.
It is pretty frustrating for both sides. Both teams have lost their first matches and won the next one. Both teams have 3, 3 points. Sri Lanka will play its next match against Bangladesh on Tuesday June 11 in Bristol and Pakistan will play next match against Australia on Wednesday June 12 in Taunton.
It is unfortunate for Pakistan, because it has won all seven matches in World Cup against Sri Lanka in past. Pakistan has next match against Australia and this match could help it to build confidence. Now Pakistan will be tough to reach the semi final, if Pakistan loss matches against India and Australia.
Pakistan will have to focus on its matches more seriously. Because he has lost an easy match against West Indies and his match has tied to Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka has more difficult condition than Pakistan. Sri Lanka has only one easy match against Bangladesh. It has other matches against South Africa, England, India, Australia and West Indies.
Sri Lanka is in more difficulties than Pakistan. He has only one simple match, which is with Bangladesh. Seeing Bangladesh’s previous matches do not seem to make Sri Lanka easily win.
Sri Lanka and Pakistan has played three matches each at the same time and are ranked third and fourth respectively. They must try to play best game and present their ability if they want to play semi final.
