Gilgit-Baltistan-B team defeats Chitral-B team in a thrilling match on the second day of Shandur Polo Festival held in Chitral Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
CHITRAL: On the second day of Shandur Polo Festival under the auspices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, Gilgit Baltistan team defeated Chitral B team by five goals to two goals. The second day of the festival was inaugurated by Director General GB Scouts Brigadier Arsalan Israr Mirza who started the match by throwing a polo ball. Secretary Tourism Shahid Sohail Khan, Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority Muhammad Bakhtiar Khan and other personalities were also present on this occasion.
The second day of the three-day Shandur Polo Festival continued with excitement with a large number of local and international tourists participation.
The festival was organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and the district administration. The second-day inauguration ceremony start from Paragliding, a traditional dance by Chitral Scouts and other bands and other colorful programs were presented. Stalls were also set up to highlight and promote the works of local artists and talented people of Chitral and Gilgit.

Tourism police personnel have also been deployed to assist the tourists and ensure adequate accommodation facilities for the tourists.

On the first day of the festival, a cultural night of Chitral was organized, e, while on the previous day, a musical concert of Gilgit-Baltistan was organized, in which artists entertained the audience by singing traditional and cultural songs and promoted the rich culture of the region. On the second day, match was played between Gilgit Baltistan B team and Chitral B team in which Gilgit B won by 5-2 in a sensational match.
In the end Brigadier Arsalan Israr Director General GB Scouts and DIG Nasir sati presented gifts to the winning team, distributed cash prizes and trophies.
