Bisham tehsil excels in quality education performance

SHANGLA: The Bisham tehsil circle of education department has secured first position, Shahpur circle second and Ranyal circle of Alpuri subdivision third position in the education quality performance scorecard.
The district education review meeting was held at the deputy commissioner office here on Wednesday, chaired by the DC Shangla Hamid Ur Rehman. Including the district education officer, Muhammad Amen, circle sub-divisional officers of the all circles of the district were present on the occasion.
The education department’s annual quality performance scorecard results were presented on the occasion in which Bisham tehsil has bagged first position in overall quality education performance, Shahpur circle of Kana tehsil got second position and Ranyal circle of Alpuri tehsil remained on third position.
The performance scorecard results were recorded on the basis of teachers and management’s overall performance, including attendance of students and teachers besides implementation of SOPs for safety from Covid-19. The performance is recorded by staff of the independent monitoring unit while visiting schools.
Sub-divisional education officer, Bisham circle, Aurangzeb Khan, said that when he was posted as SDEO at Bisham sub-division the quality performance scorecard percentage was just 5 in September, 2019 which developed with his efforts in January, 2020 to 50 and after opening of schools after the pandemic vacations his sub-division performance further enhanced.
He said that he had focused on the performance, especially teachers attendance, students attendance and used of PTC funds properly for making schools well facilitated as well as on enrollment.
Deputy commissioner, Shangla Hamid Ur Rehman praised the position holders SDEOs and urged them to show more interest in the government run schools to promote quality education in and ensure all the facilities to students.
He said education was a key to success and this backward district where education ratio was poor, needs such committed managements and teaching staff to maintain quality education in the government schools.
DC Shangla also gave away appreciation certificates to the best performers management staff of both male and female education departments.
