Subsidised Sugar points set up in Shangla

SHANGLA: The Shangla administration has set up over a dozen points for sale of subsidised Sugar across the district, where ensured sale of subsidised sugar for the public of the district.

The Shangla administration on Wednesday issued a list of the dealers where it had supplied the government subsidised Sugar and also urged the local people to buy the subsidised Sugar on discounted rate of Rs 90 per kilogram from the designated dealers.

It said six shops for Sugar had been set up in Bisham tehsil, four in Alpuri and similarly in tehsil Puran and tehsil Chakesar where Sugar supply had been done by the administration.

AWARENESS WALK: An awareness walk regarding use of polythene bags was arranged by a non-governmental organisation and tehsil administration Alpuri.

People from the different walk of life including school students, teachers, traders and line department officials took part in the awareness walk and cloth bags were distributed among the traders.

The participants stressed on the traders to avoid use of plastic bags and use cloth bags and create awareness among public to use the cloth bags.

Meanwhile, the assistant commissioner, Bisham Aniq Anwar, conducted raids on the different fuel stations of the Bisham tehsil and fined several fuels stations for extra charging the customers above the fuel price fixed price.

The AC Bisham Aniq Anwar paid surprise visit to fuel stations in Maira and Dandai where they checked the gauges of the fuel stations, however, the AC fined the fuel stations owners for selling the petroleum products above the government fixed prices.

The assistant commissioner, Bisham also warned the fuel stations owners to avoid selling fuel above the government rates otherwise legal action would be taken against the violators.
