SHANGLA: A prominent lawyer was injured in an assassination attempt when he was on the way back to his home after buying groceries in Shahpur bazaar late night on Sunday, however, he was out of danger.
A first information report FIR registered at Karora police station, in which the wounded lawyer Fatehyab, stated that he was on the way back to his home after buying some groceries in Shahpur bazaar when a man asked him for a lift near Dr. Shafiulmulk house when he stopped the car, the masked man asked him that where he was going and took out a pistol and opened fire at him and the bullet hit his leg and the accused had fled after firing at him and he did not know.
The injured lawyer also stated in the FIR that he had not personal clash and enmity with anyone and it was an assassination attempt but he survived.
Police have lodged the FIR against unknown under section 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code and begun further interrogation into the case.
