SHANGLA: MNA Ibadullah Khan said on Tuesday that shortage of personal protective equipments (PPEs) and testing kits was a major hurdle for doctors to provide treatment to Covid-19 patients in hospitals of the district.

The MNA and federal chairman on standing committee for communication told mediapersons during his visit to Bisham THQ hospital he had visited almost all hospitals of the district and found them short of PPEs and medicines. He said the doctors hardly took samples of 4-5 close relatives of the affected people due to shortage of testing kits.

“The provincial government has failed to provide PPEs to doctors and facilities to coronavirus patients,” he said. The MNA gave away PPEs to Chichlo civil dispensary and assured the THQ hospital MS that he would send protective equipment and testing kits for its staff.
