House gutted in Chakesar Shangla

Five rooms house was gutted at Shalmanu area of Chakesar tehsil here on Saturday night, the family members of the house remained unhurt, however, the goods inside the house were reduced to ashes.

Station House Officer, Police station Chakesar, Fazal Elahi Khan told The Northern Post that the fire broke out in one of the rooms of Faiz Muhammad Khan house which engulfed the entire house with no time.

He said after erupting the fire at the house, local people rushed to the scene and made efforts to put out the rapidly spreading blaze as due to the house location it was not accessible to vehicles that took four hours to extinguish the flames.

Police official said police also took part in the rescue work and shifted the house inmates to a nearby house.

He added that the five room’s house was completely gutted and nothing were left in it.

The affected family has demanded of the government to provide them with the shelter and other essential items and financial support in rebuilding the house.
