Most parts of Shangla and its surrounding districts were jolted of heavy earthquake tremors here on Wednesday morning, quacks jolts has been continued in the region for last two weeks, creating panic among the residents.
The earthquake jolts felted at 8:25 in the morning in Bisham Shangla, Alpuri, Dandai, Shahpur, district Upper, Lower and Kolai Pallas Kohistan and also in Battagram, however no human loss or injuries was reported.
People were came out of their houses, offices and markets while reciting Quranic verses.
According to Pakistan meteorological department, the earthquake felt in Hazara and Malakand division parts and its intensity was recorded 05 on rector scale, depth was 18 kilometer while epicenter was 20 kilometer away in mountains region of Battagaram.
Due to frequent earthquake occurrence in the region local people afraid of high intensity earthquake as the region was badly hit by earthquake in 2005.
