SHANGLA: Regional Police Officer Hazara division Muhammad Ali Baba Khel urged police to fully cooperate with tourists traveling northern areas, especially ensure security of foreigner tourists.
The RPO Hazara was talking media persons here at Bisham PTDC motel on Tuesday after a short visit to Kolai Pallas Kohistan, DPO Shangla Syed Rasool Shah, DPO Lower Kohistan Muhammad Salman Khan, DPO Kolai Pallas Kohistan and other police officers were present.
The RPO met foreigner and local domestic tourists and asked them about the security and police behaviour at the police check posts, and assured them that police will facilitate tourists not only at the tourists destinations but also on Karakoram Highway when they travel and returning from Northern areas of Pakistan.
The foreigner tourists appreciated Pakistani police force, however RPO asked the police officer to bring changes in behaviors and welcome to tourists at check posts.
He said, tourists are their guests and Northern Pakistan is a tourists hub of the country, increase in the tourists flow is possible with best facilitation of police in ensuring their security.
Mr Baba Khel assured the Kolai Pallas Kohistan residents that he will tackle the issue of police force shortage in the district police stations
with the high police authorities.
He warned the Kohistan police that he would not bear any negligence of security of tourists, the international route should secure all the time for every motorist.
