Book Fair held  in Chitral University, promoting local culture

CHITRAL: Book fair held at university of Chitral organized by District Youth Office Lower Chitral in collaboration of District administration of Lower Chitral and university of Chitral. Main objective of Book Fair was Promoting and Celebrating local Literature. Additional Deputy commissioner Finance and Planning Anwar Akbar was chief guest on the inaugural ceremony who properly inaugurated the Book Fair. Beside him guests of the hour of book fair opening ceremony Professor Dr Muhammad Zahir Shah Vice Chancellor, Assistant Commissioner Headquaters Dr Muhammad Atif Jalib highly appreciated the organizer and encouraged the students to make most of the opportunity to promote local literature. Talking to this scribe District Youth Officer Lower Chitral Jabbar Ghani said that we have a series of such fruitful events which organizing in lower chitral on the direction of Directorate youth affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The book Fair was a grand success with a wide range of books on various topics available at the stall. The students of Chitral university showed their keen interest in exploring the collection of local books and purchasing the ones they found most intriguing consisting on the information of their interst. This Book Fair event provided an excellent platform for students to interact with various authors publishers and book enthusiast who shared their knowledge and experience with students.

Vice Chancellor University of Chitral Pro Dr Zahir Shah and AC headquarters Dr Atif Jalib while talking to this scribe said that the nation never demolish who remember their culture and literature. They hailed the efforts of District Youth office Lower Chitral for conducting such type of beneficial events which motivate the local one especially students and young generation to never ignore local literature and they should to must promote and encourage them. VC Dr Zahir Shah said that a book is always a best friend but unfortunately our young generation mostly engaged in social media and they have very less interst in book reading. He stressed upon the students and youth to have a good relationship with books because a good book can guide us with best way.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Anwar Akbar quoting renoned philosopher and researcher who was habitual of book reading but he could not read book only two nights one on his marriage and secondly on his death night. Students were stressed to must take interest in local literate so as to promote them as well as this is the only way for conservation and promoting of local literature and encouragement of local authors, publishers etc. A large number of male and female students visited book fairs and expressed their enthusisim in these books consisting on local literatre.
