Action sought against coalmine management caused deaths of 3 workers

The Shangla coalmine workers association on Monday demanded of the authorities concerned to take legal action against the mine managers, contractors whose negligence caused the deaths of three coalminers of Shangla in Ghaljoo area of Upper Aurakzai the other day.

The miner association president, Abid Yar Khan told journalists on Monday that the coalmine incident at Ghalijo Upper Aurakzai the other day due to negligence of the mine manager and contractor who forced the labourer to enter the coalmine without considering safety precautions.

He claimed the rain water inundated the coalmine and there was no alternate route for returning and that caused trapping of three miners and few had come out soon the water entered the mine.

He demanded strict legal action and initiate an inquiry into the matter to probe the issue and bring the culprits to justice.
