ANP protests against price hike in Shangla

SHANGLA: The Awami National Party activists have blocked main Bisham-Swat road at Alpuri here on Sunday and staged protest against price hike.

The protest which was called by ANP’s provincial leadership throughout the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the ANP activists including local leadership carried out a rally carrying banners and party flags in their hands and shouting slogans against the government, walked in different streets of Alpuri and then gathered at Alpuri chowk.

While addressing at protesters, the ANP provincial senior vice president Shah Hussain Yousafzai said that the current government had been failed in its promises and claims, whereas the prices of daily commodities are increasing with every passing day.

He said, it is time to come out against the failed government and force them to down for the sake of stabling the country’s economy.

Former candidate PK-23 Shangla-I, Mutawakeel Khan said that before came into ruling, it was the PTI’s chief Imran Khan slogan that in his government poor and rich would be equal but the situation is going in contrast. .

He said, poor is heading to more poverty and rulers are enjoying the national wealth and busy in looting the national wealth.
