Gilgit-Baltistan diverts traffic to Babusar road amid weather alert
There is a possibility of intermittent clouds, partial rain and hail at some places in the next few days July 11 to 16

Amid current weather conditions, the government of Gilgit Baltistan have diverted all the public transport to the Babusar road and asked the passengers, tourists to avoid using the Karakoram highway in the prevailing weather conditions.
Spokesperson for the government of Gilgit Baltistan, Faizullah Faraq, has announced that all public transport will now operate via the Babusar Naran Kaghan route, which serves as an alternative to the Karakoram Highway during the summer season.
He stated that, given current conditions, the majority of vehicular traffic is already utilising the Babusar Road.
The district administration of Diamer has also issued an advisory in this regard, stating that the district administration under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Diamer, Captain (Retd) Atta-ur-Rehman Kakar, has informed the public about the current and next few days’ weather conditions. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast:
There is a possibility of rain today, the maximum temperature is likely to be 29 degrees Celsius, and the minimum is likely to be 14 degrees.

There is a possibility of intermittent clouds, partial rain and hail at some places in the next few days July 11 to 16. The temperature is likely to be slightly higher on July 16.
They also requested the public to exercise caution while travelling, especially on Babusar Road and in hilly areas.
People living near rivers and canals should be careful.
Farmers should plan their crop, keeping in mind the weather conditions.
