Naran-Kaghan road closed for four days from June 15-18

Tourists advised to use Karakoram Highway as alternate route for Gilgit-Baltistan travel

Deputy Commissioner Diamer, Captain (Retired) Atta-ur-Rehman Kakar, has ordered the closure of the Naran-Kaghan Road for all types of traffic from June 15 to June 18, 2025. This measure has been taken under the project supervised by the National Highway Authority (NHA) to make the Mansehra to Naran Mahandari Bridge road safer and wider.

The administration has appealed to local and foreign tourists to postpone their trips to Naran, Kaghan, and Gilgit-Baltistan during these four days or use the Karakoram Highway (Bisham Route) as an alternative. The Diamer Police Control Room has also advised the public to contact 05812-930037 before traveling to obtain the latest updates.

This road closure has been implemented to ensure public safety and facilitate construction work, for which the administration has requested the public’s cooperation.
