What a sensational journey of the biggest event of cricketing world is heading to end with the immense competition which has never happened before! The two lands: New Zealand and England are going to fight the final duel in the battle field of Lord’s. Contrast to all last ICC cricket world cups where these two nations have never tasted the pleasure of being victorious in spite of reaching the finals, this 2019 has brought them together in the final to break the shackles and march for the victory.
England the hard favorite is not going to give up because they have previously missed three chances in the same format in 1979, 1987 and 1992. While New Zealand was also beaten in the 2015 world cup final. So, both teams seem wounded lions which have recovered and beefed them up strongly. They are not going to perform less than the best. One unique thing is happening in 2019 world cup that the both finalists are never winner of ICC ODI world cups. Now whoever wins, it will be the first experience of gladness for them how the world cup victory cheers for the winners.
As far as Pakistani fans are concerned, so their team’s average performance and Indians fall out can give them quite satisfactory breaths and they will also enjoy this final on Sunday July 15, 2019. Because whoever wins had lost against Pakistan and won against the second hard favorite India. Having observed that It can be said half of Pakistani fans are going to support Kivis while half of them will applaud for English team’s strikes.
New Zealanders have enlisted them in the queue of consecutive reaching final teams after West Indies, England, Australia, Sri Lanka. But quite similar to their current opponent England they have not made it yet. Will they cross the line this time? It seems as difficult as it seemed against India in semifinal, but they proved the world that on their day they can defeat any side whether they are stronger than them on paper.
On the other hand, the English batters are so consistent and keep strong temperament. This statement will not be wrong if this is said that first time in the history of cricket world cups this sort of mighty English team was never seen before. The batting order, bowling attack with spectacular combination of spinners and all-rounders are matchless. A question is still there, “Will the rank number one team prove to be number one in the final too or will they choke again against a choker side?”
Let us highlight players who could be perilous against their contenders. The English batting line-up which comprises of Jason Roy, Johny Baistow, Joe Root, Eon Morgan and hard hitter Joss Buttler will be fine enough to mesmerize the viewers by their astounding knocks. Ben Stokes one of the great all-rounders is also there to provide with a steep end to their innings.
If we look at the New Zealand’s batting order, it seems a bit weaker and non-persistent against the gigantic England. Apart from the skipper Kane Williamson and veteran Ross Taylor, rest of the batters including star batsman Martin Guptil are out of form and have looked nervous and struggling throughout the mega event. Then what has brought them to the finals? Of course their fierce bowling attack. Trent Boult, Matt Henry and Mitchel Santner have been vicious against the world class batting order of the opponent teams and helped their team to qualify the final.
English bowling attack is not less than that of New Zealand. Jofra Archer and Chris Woakes are kind of big chees in English side. They have bowled really well and gained widespread plaudits throughout the tournament. The other side is Adil Rashid the inform spinner is all set to set the opponent’s camp on fire. So this match is going to be a fantastic nail biting competition.
All cricket lovers are pretty excited for this thriller race towards the triumph of ICC CW2019. Let’s see who wins the race. Whatever happens, the world will witness a new World Champion of Cricket.
