SPOs to be regularized soon, Says IGP-KP

SHANGLA: The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Naeem Khan has said that special police force to be regularized in next two months and issues of the Malakand and Hazara divisions will be resolved in priority basis.
The IGP-Kp was addressing a public meeting, where, MNAs, MPAs, districts and tehsil nazims, elders of the four districts of Malakand and Hazara divisions, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram and Torghar were in attendants, while except from regional police officers of the both divisions Saeed Wazir, Zulfiqar Baba Khel, district police officers were present on the occasion.
While addressing the public meeting member national assembly from Shangla, Ibadullah Khan highlighted the police community problems and also appreciated the police sacrifices against the terrorism and being maintained the peace in the region.
“Special police force has yet to be regularized and 800 candidates were appeared in a test for Frontier constabulary but they could not be appointed, we wanted to resolve these both major issues,” the MNA demanded from IG.
Mulana Karim Dada from Kohistan, demanded recruitment of 2000 police force and establishment of police stations as in Lower Kohistan there is only two police station in the entire district.
District Nazim Battagram, Atta Ur Rehman also demanded establishment of check posts in borders areas and increment in force in the district Battagram.
Similarly, the MPA from Torghar, Laeq Muhammad, sought to regularize the SPOs and increase force in the Torghar district.
The IGP said, while addressing his speech that Bisham is located in the middle of four districts where the get together is incredible and he is happy to hearing the public issues.
“I spent time in these areas by performing duty and well aware of issues of police of the every police stations but resolving all the issues at a time is not possible but gradually the issues would be sorted out,” the IGP said.
He said traffic wardens to be recruited in the Battagram bazaar for keeping smooth traffic of motorists, beside it, police check posts would also be set up in the border areas of Battagram with the rest of districts.
“I visited the Chorh of Battagram and Pallas that are scenic and lush green tourist spots, so, I would request to both the areas tribal to cooperate with the tourists and serve them with the hospitality, which will help to increase the country’s economy as well as job opportunities for the locals,” the IGP, suggested Kohistan and Battagram elders.
The IGP stressed on the police to deal public with honour, respect and politely, adding to must hear applicants in the police stations because police is responsible of the security of citizens and their wealth.
The police chief on the occasion distributed certificates and cash prizes among 12 police heroes from Bunir district for their best performance in combat against terrorists.
After Iftar party, the IG-KP, while talking media persons, said that special police force to be regularized within next two months for which he has submitted as summery to the chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Earlier this, the IG inspected the security at China-Pakistan Economic corridor project and met the Chinese Engineers and asked the police that protection of Chines workers should be the first priority of the police.
The IGP also inaugurated new building of the Shangla’s major police station at Bisham and he was honored with guard of honour on the occasion and then he visited all the sections of the police stations and check out the police registers and lock ups.
