SHANGLA: Regional Police Officer Malakand division, Muhammad Ijaz Khan has said that special police force have been regularised and they would get their pending and current salaries very soon along with an increment as regular police constables.
The RPO Malakand was addressing a meeting with local stake holders and journalists here at Alpuri on Thursday. District police officer Shangla, Malak Ijaz Khan and SDPOs of the all tehsils were also present.
The local stakeholders on the occasion demanded of the RPO to release the pending salaries of the community police, get returned 50 police constables deployed in Bunir where they faced various problems including accommodation.
Intikhab Alam, PML-N district president pointed out that there dozens of constables posts have been vacant for long and local youth are jobless and searching jobs.
Azam Khan, demanded to construct new building for police line in Lilonai where land had already been acquired since several years ago, also requested the RPO that in those case they settled should be avoided from registering section 107 to avoid producing the accused before the court.
Khalid Khan, raised an issue that Shangla police faced severe problems during snowfall due to non-availablity of 4×4 vehicles because they give duty and help the stuck public in harsh weather in snowbound areas.
Addressing the meeting, RPO said that he has received a notification of regularization of the special police force Yesterday on Wednesday and including the pending salaries of all the community police will be paid in next some days as well as their salaries would be started as a regular police.
“The special police personals recruited in Shangla from out districts were not the Shangla’s sanctioned posts but it was a rotation and salaries attachment,” The RPO, said.
He said the society biggest evil is corruption and lies and also recommendation culture and people cheat with the officers of every department and even used for their personal interest.
The RPO said due to shortage of funds with the government the reconstruction of Shangla police line delayed, however it will be included in upcoming annual development program.
The regional police head appreciated the Shangla dispute resolution council which had played a crucial role in sorting out petty issues in the district through the DRC.
He assured the stakeholders that drug peddlers would be sent behind bars and police will have to curb the curse from the society which spoil our young blood.
