SHANGLA: The Pakistan Tehrik-I-Insaf and Jamiat-Ulema-I-Islam-Fazal have fielded its candidates in all five tehsils of Shangla after a week long battle and rounds of negotiations over the tehsil Bisham Chairman slot ticket between the two groups in PTI, the minister for labour and culture brother’s Liaqat Ali Yousafzai withdrawn the ticket to former national assembly candidate Sadeedur Rehman.
A grand Jirga between the both groups of Pakistan Tehrik-I-Insaf held on Wednesday night which asked the minister’s brother Liaqat Yousafzai to withdraw from the Bisham tehsil Chairman slot ticket which was supposed to be given Habib-Ur-Rahman, first cousin of Sadeedur Rahman, however, shockingly the later himself agreed to contest the local body elections in Bisham tehsil for Chairman seat on the PTI’s ticket.
The Pakistan Tehrik-I-Insaf first announced the ticket awarded to Liaqat Yousafzai and then Habib-Ur-Rahman name was selected upon threat from the Haji Said Fareen who joined PTI from ANP and has a strong hold in Shangla politics, that he would field candidates in all tehsil independently which forced the party senior leadership on knee down.
The party then held rounds of negotiations on the ticket issue with Haji Said Fareen and his son Sadeed Ur Rahman and finally reached on the decision that Sadeed Ur Rahman will contest the LG poll in Bisham tehsil on the PTI’s ticket.
