Elimination of stray dogs demanded in Shangla

SHANGLA: Residents of Koz Kana have in Kana tehsil have demanded of the district administration to eliminate the stray dogs as dogs bite cases on the rise, while hospitals have been facing shortage of anti rabies vaccines for the last a year.
They told reporters here on Saturday that stray dogs roam in Kana tehsil areas Koz Kana, Borshat, Shahpur and injured several people after biting them.
Javid Iqbal, a local said he had submitted an application to the district administration and Tehsil Municipal Administration Alpuri for killing the stray dogs but to no avail.
“Stray dogs have bite up my relatives and injured them but when they taken to rural health center, Karora the doctors informed them that they have not available anti rabies vaccine at the facility,” He said.
Tausif Ahmed, another local said since surge in the stray dogs bite cases in his area Koz Kana people scared as large number of stray dogs have seen roaming in the streets.
He claimed the TMA Alpuri has limited its services to Alpuri only, while the rest of areas people suffering due to nonavailability of municipal services.
The Kana tehsil residents demanded of the district administration to kill the stray dogs and also ensure anti rabies vaccines at the hospitals as soon as possible for saving people lives.
