Elderly man killed over petty dispute in Shangla

SHANGLA: An elderly man was shot dead during a clash between the two groups after a short quarrel over power supply line at Lilonai area of Alpuri tehsil here on Thursday.
Station House Officer, Alpuri police station, Muhammad Arif Khan, told this correspondent that one of the group members had disconnected a power supply cable of the another group and then they had a short quarrel which later turned to armed clash as a result an elderly man Watan Iqbal received bullets in his chest.
He said the elderly man was injured and shifted to the district headquarters, hospital, Alpuri where doctors declared him dead.
SHO Arif said following the incident he along the police personals reached the spot and conducted raids on the accused houses and arrested them just few hours later of the murder.
He said they arrested Muhammad Parvish, Hassan Dar and Tilawat Shah and registered cases under sections 302, 324/34 of PPC and also recovered the guns used in the murder from the accused possession.
BAKERY GUTTED: A bakery and its godown were gutted when it erupted fire at Aloch area of Puran tehsil here the other day.
Local police said that a bakery named Puran Cake Palace had got fire due to electric short circuit which engulfed the entire bakery and its godown within minutes and reduced everything inside into ashes.
The Bakery owner, Ikramullah, said it happened in very quickly everything he had gutted and it was his sole source of income and now looking foreword to the government for financial support to rehabilitate his business again.
