Cleanliness drive launched in Bisham

SHANGLA: The tehsil administration Bisham on Tuesday launched a 10 days cleanliness drive here at Bisham tehsil, which will continue till the Eidul-Fiter.
The Tehsil Municipal arranged awareness walk which led by the Assistant Commissioner Bisham, Amir Muhammad while people from the different walk of lives participated in the walk.
While carrying banners and placards inscribed with awareness messages about the importance of cleanliness, the participants walked throughout the different streets of Bisham bazaar.
The participants later held awareness session at Bisham chowk, where they spoke to the participants regarding the government policy of keeping the environment neat and clean.
“On the directives of provincial government today (on Tusday) we launch the cleanliness drive in Bisham tehsil, which is meant to create awareness among the public about the significance of cleanliness,” The AC said.
He urged the traders to make sure their front of shops clean and put the garbage and waste in the dustbin installed by the TMA and avoid throwing the garbage in every street.
He said it is the social responsibility of every citizen to keep the environment healthy and pleasant.
Ijaz Ahmed Kamal, member district council, said, the cleanliness is the half of faith and every trader and households should dump at dustbin rather than throwing in front of their shops which spread a filthy smell.
He appealed the fruit and vegetable vendors to avoid throwing the wasted vegetable and fruits into the Khan Khwar river because it spread water born disease among the public as a huge number of people living along the Indus river in the district Shangla drinks the water and also use for domestic purposes.
TMA officials, Ghyoor Khan and Wajid Ali also spoke on the occasion highlighted the importance of the cleanliness, as well as informed stressed on the public to participate in awareness walks and sessions which were being held in the district till Eidul-Fiter.
