Chakesar’s residents demanded removal of ruble from Towa road

SHANGLA: Residents of Chakesar particularly commuters have demanded of the district administration Shangla, to remove landslide rubles from Chakesar-Towa road causing troubled them.
They told reporters here on Tuesday that Chakesar-Towa road which also links Chakesar with Puran tehsil, while being used by the local masses to reach the district headquarters, Alpuri but landslide rubles had been laying on it in various points causing traffic accidents.
Doctor Noor Ul Hayat, said that he normally used the Chakesar-Towa road but there were landslide rubles laying on the road in several points and vehicle passing over the rubles which can result fatal traffic accidents.
He said, general public transporters and goods suppliers also used the road to bring passengers and goods from Swat.
Zia Khan, a social activist, said that the Towa road had been used for travel purposes by the entire Chakesar tehsil for the last five years due to the bad condition of Chakesar-Karora road.
He said, the landslide had blocked the road but transporters made a track over it to cross the road but now it turned dangoures for travel and there were chances of vehicles overturned and could result loss of precious lives.
Hussain Ali, a pickup driver, said his pickup was escaped from overturning the last day on Monday evening while crossing the road over the ruble.
He said, his pickup was loaded of goods, however, survived but government should take notice of it and remove the rubles immediately.
The Chakesar local people said, district administration and tehsil administration of Chakesar should immediately take action on the issue and remove the rubles from the road and clear it for the safe travel of them through the contingency funds.
