The committee of youth from six districts of Malakand and Hazara divisions has opposed the proposal of inclusion Bunir and Chitral in the new zone by both districts MPAs, creating of the new zone for jobs allocation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa public service commission has been a demand of the six districts for the last several years.
The committee members told media persons on Wednesday here at Bisham that after two years of wait the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government cabinet had a meeting on Tuesday where two MPAs Wazir Zada from Chitral and Riaz from Bunir insisted to include Bunir and Chitral as well in the proposed zone on which MPA from Battagram Taj Muhammad Khan boycotted as they demanded new zone to get some relief in getting jobs in the public service commission because there were over 13 districts in zone-3 (the current zone).
Wakeel Khan, an active member of the committee from Shangla, said they had started the movement for new zone about six years ago and struggling constantly but now on one hand government was using delaying tactics, and on the other MPA from the different districts insisted to include their districts also.
He said due to these MPAs their longstanding demand had been hanging for years owing that their six backward districts graduated both men and women time wasted.
Kashif Khan from Battagram said they would not have demanded new zone if there were universities and colleges in their backward districts to get quality education and compete the Peshawar, Abbottabad, and other developed districts.
“Instead of giving approval of new zone the CM Kp has formed another committee for presenting its recommendations within a month, Health and Finance minister Taimor Jhagra is nominated the committee chairman,” He said.
He added minister prisons Taj Muhammad Khan had clearly rejected the idea of Bunir and Chitral MPAs because, with the inclusion of these districts, the situation would remain like existing.
Imran Yousafzai, an activist from Torghar, said how they could compete with Bunir and Chitral districts if the government even not bothering to build colleges and universities in their districts.
He said they will never ever accept the proposal of Bunir and Chitral MPAs of including their district in the new zone and KP government should immediately approve the new zone so that the underdeveloped district’s graduates could get jobs through the public service commission.
The newly formed committee in which Minister prison Taj Muhammad Khan, Minister Amjad Khan, and Wazir Zada are members and Taimor Jhagra is its chairman will present their recommendations within a month after reviewing the public service commission jobs allocations of the last years.
