ANP clean sweep in Shangla LG by-election

SHANGLA: Awami national party won both seats of district and tehsil council in local body by-election, the election held peacefully while women turn out witnessed greatly first time.
According to unofficial results of the LG by-elections ANP candidate Gulzar Khan secured 2129 votes and won the seat of district council Dandai, Shah Wali Khan of PML-N was remained runner up with 1331 votes.
Similarly, in tehsil council Bahlol Khel Rauf Khan of ANP obtained 2269 votes and elected tehsil councilr for Puran tehsil and his opponent Kamal Khan who has support of PML-N, JUI, PTI who got 1565 votes.
Sultan Sham won the naib nazim seat in village council Navkaly Shahpur while securing 436 votes and Raham bar had received 195 votes and remained runner up.
In Opal village council, general councilor seat Nasiruddin obtained 347 votes and Sayed Bakhtiar secured 201 votes.
A good sign witnessed that was first time participation of female in the by election and a good turn out recorded in the history of Shangla, Women turn up for poling their votes.
