Roads and bridges package approved for Shangla, says Shaukat Yousafzai

PESHAWAR: The Minister for Information, excise and taxation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has claimed that he has approved first phase of the blacktop roads and bridges project for Shangla, which will be tenderized soon.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesman, who is elected MPA from PK-23 Shangla I, told reporters here on Sunday that he has approved first phase of the construction of new roads in various parts of his constituency.
He said it was his first development project after being elected second time from Shangla, while the second phase of the road package to be approved very soon.
“I am doing some better as much as i could, I have to explore and discover the district hidden and rich tourist destinations so that tourism from all over the world could visit the scenic places of the district which certainly would help the areas people by providing them job opportunities,” the minister added.
He said instead hollow promises with the nations he believe on practical work and would fulfill his promises being made with the constituency residence during the election campaign because they trusted him twice in one general election with high margin.
Mr Yousafzai said in first phase of Shangla roads package Shang to Chambar in Bisham tehsil 5 kilometer, Bisham to Qala in Bisham 6 kilometer, Chichlo Mor to Sangrai in Alpuri tehsil 5 kilometer, Koza Alpuri to Kandaw in Alpuri 5 kilometer, Bazaar Kot to Amnawi in Alpuri 5 kilometer, and 5 kilometer Koz Kana to Dunai road in the tehsil Alpuri are included in the approved package.
He added that he has also approved RCC bridge which connect Sassoby, Kormang, Sangrai and Shahtoot with the rest of other parts of Shangla at Kerai over the Khan Khwar river, which he said was a long standing demand of the locals.
The minister said these roads and bridge was very essential to be built immediately because the areas people have no source of travel, whereas due to bad condition of the Kormang suspension bridge many people had lost their precious lives as result of accidents occurred on the bridge in past few years.
He said all the approved roads would be blacktopped and widen so that people could comfortably travel to their respective villages.
The information minister further said that in next phase many roads and bridges are included which will be approved very soon.
