KP flood claim 5 more lives and damage homes across multiple districts

Death toll since mid-August reaches 411 as provincial authorities order accelerated relief efforts

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a report on Sunday about the loss of life and property resulting from rainfall, urban flooding, and flash floods in various districts of the province.
According to the report, five people died and five were injured in different accidents. Among the dead are four children and one woman; however, the injured include one man, one woman, and three children.
According to recent reports, six houses were damaged in rain and city floods, with three homes partially damaged and three completely destroyed. These incidents occurred in different districts, including Peshawar, South Waziristan, Khyber, and Abbottabad.
Rain, flash flood, and urban flooding in the province since August 15 have caused 411 deaths and 258 people were injured, while 3580 houses were damaged.
The administration of affected districts has been instructed to expedite relief activities and provide immediate support to the affected individuals. PDMA and all related organizations are in close connection with each other and are continuously monitoring the entire situation in the province.
PDMA emergency operation centres are active, and the public can report any unfortunate accidents. People can also contact the free helpline at 1700 to receive weather alerts and other information.
