Electric SUV with 1,150km-range set to enter Pakistan’s auto market
Forthing Friday REEV by Capital Smart Motors offers 600km pure electric range + 550km extended range

Pakistan’s auto market is going to introduce a new electric SUV that could prove to be a game-changer: a Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) with a range of 1,100km. Forthing Friday, presented by Capital Smart Motors, has a range of 1,150km. However, the 600km range is completely electric, and the other 550km can be achieved through an extender system.
This car operates through electricity stored in a battery. However, it also has a small internal Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) combustion engine, which helps to recharge the battery if needed. These features make it different from other electric vehicles and allow it to travel long distances without depending on charging stations.
Forthing is a Dongfeng Liuzhou Motors brand, a sub-company of the Chinese Dongfeng Motor Group. It is expected to launch in Pakistan next week, and further details will also be available soon.
According to experts, this car could prove an important development in electric vehicles, but its price and the availability of charging infrastructure will play an important role in its success. Consumers are advised to check all details related to the car before buying it.
