
The sixth syndicate meeting of University of Shangla held in committee room of Islamia College University Peshawar on July 13, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Sardar Khan (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), Vice-Chancellor of University of Shangla.
The syndicate meeting was attended by honoury members, which include Mr. Ali Qadir (Special Secretary, Establishment), Mr. Javed Iqbal (Additional Secretary, Higher Education Department), Mr. Arshad Ali (Additional Secretary, Finance), Ms. Sameen Durrani (Director Budget/Finance, HEC), Justice (Retd.) Jamaluddin (Representative Peshawar High Court), Mr. Saeed Abarar (Representative Chancellor), Dr. Faizur Rahman (Director Planning and Development), Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed. (Treasurer), and Dr. Fazal Quddus Khan (Registrar).
The meeting started with recitation of Holy Quran. After a short introduction, Chairman welcomed all the participants and advised the registrar to present the agenda. Various important points were discussed during the meeting.
Academic council recommendations include graduate and under-graduate level academic extension, adopting to HEC policies, establishment of faculty and diploma/certificate courses, were approved. The participants also appreciated the proposal to introduce subjects in the University of Shangla as per market needs.
Finance and Planning Committee (F&PC) recommendations include creation for budget, fees structure, faculty and non-faculty vacancies, received detailed consideration and they were also recommended for approval by the Senate.
The Vice Chancellor thanked all the members for their constructive suggestions and active participation in decision making. The meeting ended with mutual thanks, and the spirit of cooperation of the participants was appreciated.
