SHANGLA: A married woman was fatally shot by her in-laws at her sister’s residence on Thursday morning. According to the First Information Report (FIR), the alleged motive behind the killing was a robbery incident that occurred at the woman’s home 9 months ago in the Shalmanu area of Alpuri.
Police official said that upon receiving information about the woman’s murder, station house officer accompanied by his team reached the scene where Abida Bibi, the slain woman’s sister recorded her statement with the police about the incident.
She stated in the statement, which was later included in the FIR lodged at Police station Alpuri, that her sister had come her home on Thursday morning 10 minutes before of her in-laws, who burst into the house and opened indiscriminate firing at her sister, killing Bibi Zainab, instantly having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
She nominated the accused as Noor-ul-hassan, Mohammad Yaqoob, Umar Ali, Umar Hassan in the FIR who she said her in-laws and reportedly killed her sister for a robbery incident which had taken place nine months ago, a man identified as Shams Ur Rehman had entered their house.
Police said that the FIR lodged at police station Alpuri under sections 302 of Pakistan penal code for murder and 452 of house trespass and started collecting information, evidences to ascertain the actual motive behind the woman murder and raids were being conducted in Shalmanu village to arrested the accused.

Police officials believe the woman murder case could change into honour killing after thorough investigation.
In another incident, A youth who was first student of higher secondary school certificate, shot himself in his home at Gandaw area of Alpuri tehsil on Wednesday night.
Police official told The Northern Post on Thursday that a dead body of 17 years was brought to the district headquarters hospital, Alpuri for autopsy who according to family has died by suicide.
Police said the youth had allegedly shot him with a pistol in abdomen and remained locked in her room alone and due to heavy bleeding he succumbed.
According to police the young boy’s uncle, Sirbaland Khan stated to police that his nephew Islam Mohammad was mentally sound and there was no issue but he took his life by shooting himself with the pistol in his room in Gandaw village of Alpuri.
Police said that after autopsy and medico legal procedure, they had initiated an inquiry into the case under section 174 of CrpC to ascertain the cause of suicide and confirm whether it was a suicide or murder, which would be cleared upon completion of inquiry.
