Two men arrested in Shangla for assaulting 10 year old girl

SHANGLA: Shangla police on Tuesday arrested two men for the alleged rape of grade 6th girl student in Lilonai area of Shangla district.
Police spokesman, Umar Rehman, told The Northern Post on Tuesday that, following a first information report FIR, a police team of the Alpuri police station raided in a house in Lilonai area and arrested two Sultan Wali and Rehmanuddin of Lilonai village and shifted them to lock up in Alpuri police station.

The FIR registered against the both accused on the other day said that a 10-year-old girl came to police station Alpuri along with her father Taza Gul and reported to police that she was sexually assaulted when returning from school to home.

“Both accused Sultan Wali and Rahmanuddin caught me and taken me to cornfields where they sexually assaulted me subsequently. I cried and appealed them to leave her but they didn’t listen to me,” She stated in the FIR.

She further said in her statement that, after sexually molesting her the accused show her a knife and gave Rs 200 in her hands and warned her if she told anyone about the rape they would kill her with the knife.

The victim further said in the report, due to the absence of her parents from home she could not tell the incident to anyone as her parents returned she informed them about the incident.

The police spokesman said the doctors in the district headquarters hospital in Alpuri have confirmed that the girl has been subjected to rape.

He said, police have lodged an FIR under sections 376, 506, 48 and 53 and begins further interrogation.
