Three members of robbery gang arrested in Bisham

District police offier, Shangla, Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada claimed to have arrested a robbery gang and recovered stolen cash and goods from their possession, the gang was involved in a robbery reported last week at Maira area of Bisham tehsil.

The Shangla district police officer, Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada was addressing a news conference in his office at Alpuri on Friday. SP investigation, Shangla, Ajmal Khan, DSP Bisham Juma Rehman, SHO Muhammad Arif Khan and other police officials were present on the occasion.

DPO Shangla said a robbery was reported to Dandai police station on October, 15, Wazir Muhammad a shopkeeper had told that his shop located in Peplai bazaar was looted at night Rs 200,000 taken away by robbers with Rs 20,000 worth tea while digging a hole on the backside of the shop.

He said followed by registration of FIR against unknown robbers, police formed a team headed by SHO Muhammad Arif while using technology and different techniques police got to the robbers gang and taken them into the custody.

DPO said during the interrogation arrested accused confessed the robbery and handed over the stolen amount Rs 200,000 and 20,000 worth tea also recovered from their possession.

The robbers identified as Spin Khan, Majid Ali and Muhammad Hassan, resident of Peplai Maira and recovered the tools they used in the robbery.

Shangla police head said an FIR against the accused had been lodged in the police station and further interrogation begun.

DPO also claimed that they had arrested all proclaimed offenders wanted to Shangla police in different cases during the past 10 months.
