SHANGLA: Commuters and transporters in Shangla have demanded of the government to get removed landslide rubles from the main arteries of the district hampering smooth flow of traffic.
They told reporters here on Tuesday that rubles brought by the floods water or landslides lying on the Swat-Bisham, Alpuri-Puran, Bisham-Khataksar roads for long and causing traffic accidents and troubles to the commuters.
Wajid Ali a local resident said that rubles of landslides laying on the Bisham-Swat road at different points, Kerai, Dehrai, Ranyal and other areas even though the administration had been informed about the problem many times but practical steps yet to be taken.
He said, traffic accidents occurs with speedy vehicles as they can’t control the car quickly and meet accidents, however no casualties reported yet.
Mazhar Ali, another local said that the landslide rubles lying on the roads since a year, though the district administration’s officials also used the road for travel purposes but they ignored the rubles lying on the main arteries.
He said, it was the responsibility of the administration and all the roads should be cleared from rubles for easing the travel on the roads.
The local people warned the administration that if the rubles were not removed from the roads sternly they would com onto streets for agitation.
