Puran Shangla youth seek construction of playground

SHANGLA: Local youth of Puran, Aloch have demanded of the government to expedite construction work on the playground being executed in Aloch Puran and 132KV grid station delayed for years and causing problems to locals.
The demand came during the final match of All Shangla volleyball tournament held at Aloch in Puran tehsil on Sunday, where an activist Muhammad Hanif Khan was the chief guest.
Youth on the occasion said they were happy when the playground foundation stone was laid three years ago but the government failed in construction of the playground due to which the sportsmen seen along the rivers by playing their sports activities.
Muhammad Hanif Khan, said instead of using both the projects for their political interest, both local leadership should take practical steps for the grid station and playground which were delayed for years now.
He said if work was not started within a month he along with local sportsmen would come onto streets for agitation against so called local politicians.
Abdul Ghafar, a local youth said they play cricket in rough places due to absence of proper playground for them in the entire tehsil Puran though it was severally promised by the political leaders.
He said Shangla was rich in sports talent and several local boy were currently playing in the national level teams but many did not avail opportunity due to their poor based in the respective sports field because of absence of playground.
Najeeb Khan, another young man said Puran and Martung tehsil’s residents had been faced severe problems due to low voltage and unscheduled electricity power outage because of the burden over 132KV Kotkay grid station.
He said the Water and Power Development Authority WAPDA should expedite work on the 132KV grid station being build in Aloch, Puran so that they get rid of the low voltage and power outage issue.
Trophies and cash was distributed among the players on the occasion.
