SHANGLA: Deputy Commissioner Shangla Imran Hussain Ranjha has cancelled the tests being conducted for primary school teachers under National Testing Service in Shangla after leakage of the paper’s answer keys.
An order issued by the DC office Shangla on Sunday says that Assistant commissioner revenue Shangla, Azhar Zahoor received the answer keys for the papers before an hour.
It said, the issue was brought into the notice of the DC, Shangla, Imran Hussain Ranjha who inspected the test centres and investigated the matter by checking the question paper.
After checking the paper he found that the paper for the test has indeed been leaked as the answer key matched the question paper.
Moreover, the district administration also received the answer key for the second phase of the test scheduled at 11:30. A comprehensive reconciliation exercise was also done again in which it emerged that leaked answer key matched the question paper.
In view of the above, DC decided to cancel the examination in order to ensure merit, transparency and integrity of the induction process.
Soon afterwards, a large number of candidates for NTS gathered at Alpuri Chowk to protest the leakage of the NTS test conducted for the posts of PST.
The demonistraters demanded of the high ups to probe the matter as soon as possible because the answer keys leaked several times before too.

AC, Alpurai Fidaul-Karim along with AAC, (Revenue), Azhar Zahoor Shangla successfully negotiated with the demonstrators and ensured them that under the direction of DC, Shangla an inquiry committee has been constituted under the Chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commisssioner, Shangla Maqbool Hussain, to investigate the case of paper leakage. Furthermore, the demonstrators were assured that strict legal action would be initiated against the culprits involved in the illegal act. The protestors then dispersed peacefully.
