Man kills four of his family members in Mansehra

MANSEHRA: A man killed four members of his family allegedly on the instigation of his wife in Jabba Sheikhul Garhi area here in wee hours of Wednesday.

“The wife of the accused brought pistol from her room and handed it over to him, asking him to kill his family members as they used to quarrel with her over the ownership of a house,” Bashir Khan, the DSP central, told reporters.

Wajid Khan, lodging FIR with the police, stated that his brother, Majid Khan exchanged harsh words with his father, Mohammad Younus and younger brother, Mohammad Sajid over the ownership of a house.

In the meantime, he said Majid’s wife went into her room and brought a pistol and handed it over to him to kill his family members.

Wajid said his sister and sister-in-law attempted to protect his father and brother, but Majid fired at them indiscriminately, leaving all of them dead on the spot.

The complainant said that following the firing incident, both the accused fled the scene.

It is to mention here that Majid Khan and his wife had married out of their free will earlier this year.

The local police rushed to scene and shifted the bodies to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors handed them over to their family after completing medico-legal formalities.

“We have been raiding the possible hideouts of the suspects and soon they would be arrested,” DSP Bashir Khan said.
