SHANGLA: The Jamiat Ulema Islam Fazal workers on Friday blocked the Karakoram Highway at Bisham chowk in Bisham city and staged protest against the growing inflation in the country.
The protest was called by the JUI-F central leadership which was leading by the JUI-F Shangla emir Qari Zainullah, Amad Ahmad Khan, Mulana Faheem Khan. Rallies were also took out in the Bisham bazaar, Maira, Shang and other parts of the district where the JUI-F workers chanted slogans against the Pakistan Tehrik-I-Insaf lead government and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The JUI-F Shangla emir, Qair Zainullah said while addressing at the protesters that the failed ever government and its prime minister forced them and the poor ordinary people to come onto roads for agitation.
He said the government degraded the opposition parties leaders in fake cases and failed to present any corruption evidence in the courts against them.
“We have decided to continue protest demonstration against the government and this would continue unless this so called prime minister leave the chair,” He said and added they cannot accept this selected government nor this growing inflation which snatched bread from the poor.
Mulana Said Muhammad, said he had never seen such a tyrant in his life who increase the flour, sugar, ghee and petrol prices every week without any concern of the poor masses.
He said 80 percent business destroyed due to inflation and daily wager had not work at all.
Amad Ahmad Khan, said the dolor value over the rupee had broke all its previous records, while the country’s economy had come to worst condition due to failed policies of the incumbent government.
He said on the directives of their provincial leadership they would start sit-in on the Karakoram Highway against the inflation till ousting of the prime minister.
The protesters dispersed after two hours blockade of international route KKH due to which the passengers also faced hardships.
