SHANGLA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz provincial president Amir Muqam has said the countdown of the prevailing government has started and after the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s Peshawar rally the Imran Khan-led set up would no longer in ruling as people have become fed up with his policies and increasing inflation.

He was addressing a public meeting at Alpuri here on Wednesday. MNA Ibadullah, former MPA Mohammad Rashad Khan and other party leaders also spoke on the occasion.

Mr Muqam said the PDM had given a hope to the inflation-hit people. After the Gujranwala, Karachi and Quetta meetings, the PDM would stage a successful power show in Peshawar on Nov 22, he claimed. “The PDM’s struggle will continue until Imran Khan’s government is sent packing,” the PML-N provincial chief said.

He insisted the opposition wanted to save the country and its institutions from bankruptcy as inflation had broken all the previous records and thousands of people had lost their jobs.
Mr Muqam said a stable and economically strong Pakistan guaranteed prosperity of its people. He urged the PML-N workers to start preparations for the PDM’s public meeting in Peshawar on Nov 22.

Meanwhile, local Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Sher Bahadar Khan announced joining the PML-N at a public meeting at Puran, where Amir Muqam was also present. Mr Muqam welcomed the newcomer into the party fold.
