FCNA visits Diamer, emphasizes peace and development

Major General Imtiaz Hussain Gilani engages with locals, attends sports events, and inspects medical camps during his visit to Tangir

Force Commander Northern Areas (FCNA) Major General Imtiaz Hussain Gilani conducted a comprehensive visit to District Diamer, Tehsil Tangir. During his visit, he participated in various educational, social, and developmental initiatives while reviewing the region’s law and order situation.

The Force Commander held meetings with religious scholars, members of the peace jirga, and local notables, discussing strategies to maintain peace and stability in the area. He commended the efforts of Diamer’s religious scholars in fostering harmony and urged them to continue their vital role in the community.

A highlight of the visit was the Force Commander’s presence at the closing ceremony of the Diamer Volleyball Sports Championship, organized by GB Scouts and FCNA. He addressed the participants and distributed awards to the winning players, encouraging youth engagement in sports for a healthier and more vibrant society.

Later, Major General Gilani visited Boys High School Jaglot Tangir, where he interacted with students and emphasized the importance of education. He motivated the students to work diligently and prepare themselves to tackle future challenges, underscoring the role of education in nation-building.

The Force Commander also held a special session with the youth, who expressed their enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity to engage with him. The youth highlighted that such interactions strengthen the bond between the Pakistan Army and the local community.

During his tour, Major General Gilani inspected a free medical camp established by the Pakistan Army in Tangir. He reviewed the healthcare services provided to patients and praised the medical team for their dedication and efforts in serving the community.

The visit concluded with the Force Commander observing joint military exercises conducted by the Pakistan Army and GB Scouts. He commended the soldiers for their professionalism and encouraged them to continue their exemplary service to the nation.

Major General Imtiaz Hussain Gilani’s visit underscored the Pakistan Army’s commitment to peace, development, and community engagement in the Northern Areas.
