Family seeks recovery of missing coal miner

SHANGLA: Family members of coal miner, Neik Mohammad, who has been missing in a mine in Kala Khel area for last three months, have demanded of the minerals department to help recover him – dead or alive.
They bereaved family told media persons here on Tuesday that they were in deep shock and desperately waiting for his recovery.
Neik Muhammad who had been associated with the coalmine business for the last 25 years and while rescuing stranded workers from the mine during an incident he was fell down to the mine but his body could not be recovered as yet.
Nelum Bibi, the miner wife, said that they did not know anything about her spouse status either he was alive or dead but they wanted government to government for help to get recovered his body from the mine which had been stranded inside the mine for the last over three months.
She said, they were were wives of the Neik Muhammad and most recently about four months ago he had got married with another wife Hasina.
“We three wives of the Niek Muhammad along with 9 children, two girls and six boys are awaiting of the body and living on the mercy of ALLAH Almighty. We are also concerned for the orphans what would happen with them as their father is wanted to make them educated,” She said.
Rohida said their elder son was just 11 year old and the rest of children did not know about their father incident but they demand of the government to recover the body from the mine as soon as possible for which they would be grateful to the government.
She said that they were living separately from the brother-in-laws and now after the Neik Muhammad incident they were concerned for the children and their own future.
Usman, 11 year old child of the Neik Muhammad, said his father had rendered all of his time for the Pakistan Tehrik-I-Insaf and had been closed to Shaukat Yousafzai, the minister information but in this difficult time no one come to their home nor helped them in recovering their father body.
The family threatened that if their loved one’s body was not recovered they would come onto roads for agitation.
