ANP wants elimination of terrorism from Pakhtunkhwa, Says Babak

The Awami National Party’s (ANP) provincial general secretary, Sardar Hussain Babak has said the government is not interested in eliminating terrorism from the Malakand division, Shangla and Bunir border is at high risk of terrorism and terrorist are openly roam in the area.

The ANP’s provincial general secretary, Sardar Hussain Babak was addressing a public meeting in Bely Baba, Alpuri on Monday. The Qaumi Watan Party’s district general secretary, Anwar Ali Ghorbandi and his supporters, family members announced joining the Awami National Party.

ANP’s Shangla president, Muhammad Azam Khan, member central working committee of ANP Mutawkil Khan, former secretary Auranzeb Khan, Sultan Rome Advocate, Anwar Ali Ghorbandi and others also addressed the public meeting.

Mr Babak claimed parliament, media, law enforcement agencies had kept silent on the terrorist activities in Bunir-Shangla border which was potential threat for the region because they were roaming openly and preparing for carrying out terrorist activities.

He said the rest of political parties also kept mum on the issue but he urged before it too late public should be united against the terrorism.

ANP leader said the previous government had stopped the province progress and only made records in corruption and it was the consequences they experienced in terms of inflation and a daily wager cannot buy a bag of flour for his children.

He said the federal had always been indebted of the Khyber Pakhtunkwha, it had to pay Rs 162 billion only of the electricity and Rs 3 billion share could get every district.

He urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa youth to force their party leadership to include the provincial autonomy in their party’s constitutions and in manifesto which would bring a progress to this neglected province.

He said the KP government residents had the first right over its resources and its benefits and state should ensure that to the KP masses and if ANP was came into ruling in the KP they would make KP autonomous and sovereign.

Mr Babak appealed the all the parties leaders belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to get united on one page for the peace of KP and its progress and prosperity.

He thanked and assured the new entrants into ANP saying they would be happy and comfortable in ANP.

Later the day, the ANP provincial general secretary told journalists that there was no place for those who violate the party’s discipline and they stood by their decision in the best interest of party.

He said they always stressed on to keep sustainable and strong bilateral relations with the neighboring countries because without that the country and the region progress was not possible.
