Alpuri tehsil nazim released on bail

SHANGLA: Alpuri tehsil nazim Muhammad Tahir Khan was released on Monday from district jail Battagram after district court Shangla granted him bail in a case of speech against state’s institutions during a protest staged two week ago in Dandai Shangla.
During a hearing at district additional session court in Alpuri, the nazim’s counsel comprising Advocate Sultan Room, Advocate Haq Nawaz Khan, Advocate Muhammad Naeem Khan, advocate Shah Sawood and advocate Waqif Shah.
After hearing the counsel arguments additional session judge Shangla Aftab Iqbal accepted the tehsil nazim Alpuri application of bail and ordered to release him on bail.
After the court order, the Pakistan Muslim League-N supporters reached Pak-China friendship bridge Dandai in rallies where they warmly received the nazim after his release.
The PML-N supporters also chanted slogans in support of PML-N and the Nazim and also against the ruling party.
Tehsil nazim told the Northern Post that he is a patriotic citizens and has been close to Army in every occasion and never thought to defame image of the state’s institutions.
He added that it was political victimisation of the ruling party while registering FIRs against him, which is certainly injustices with the elected tehsil council nazim.
He said, he always loved Army and other institutions and stood by them.
