Subsidized Sugar Points established in Shangla

The district administration Shangla has established 32 centers across the district for subsidized Sugar with the help of local dealers and the sale of Sugar started at the subsidized prices.

Deputy Commissioner Shangla, Hamid Ur Rehman, told media persons on Friday that in view of the current inflation and price hike of Sugar, on the directives of the provincial government they had decided to establish Sugar Sale centers for selling Sugar on subsidized prices.

He said 05 centers in tehsil Alpuri, 10 centers in tehsil Bisham, 08 in tehsil Chakesar, 04 tehsil Puran and 04 in tehsil Puran where the subsidized Sugar ensured and the sale started.

He said for fulfilling the public need more centers of Sugar Sale would be set up in other areas of the district for relief provision.

DC Shangla said that local traders had played a vital role in establishing the subsidized Sugar points and its sale continued in these centers at Rs 87.5 per kilogram and Rs 85.5 on the whole sale.
