NAB makes more recoveries in Kohistan corruption scandal
New revelations expose deeper financial network in the Kohistan corruption case.
The Kohistan corruption scandal has taken a new turn as police retrieved gold valued at billions of rupees from Sub-Inspector Qaiser Iqbal’s wife. Furthermore, 115 tolas of gold were found at the home of Bilal Shah, an accomplice of the primary suspect. The suspect also possesses a 60 million rupee plot in Abbottabad, according to NAB officials. In relation to the controversy, Police Sub-Inspector Naseeruddin has also been taken into custody.
According to sources, a transaction of 35 million rupees was made into the suspect’s accounts. In the Kohistan corruption scandal, gold worth billions of rupees was recovered from the account linked to the main accused Qaisar Iqbal’s wife. It is said that Qaisar Iqbal himself transferred the amount. NAB has also seized a valuable bungalow owned by Qaisar Iqbal, worth approximately 60 million rupees.
NAB sources have revealed that the accused had purchased the bungalow in his brother’s name. It is worth mentioning that a few days ago, NAB had arrested Qaisar Iqbal’s wife and recovered gold worth 14 billion rupees and luxury vehicles from their residence. Despite this, further investigation and action are still ongoing.
