Wheat and flour prices remain stable in KP amid national surge
Post-restriction, 100kg wheat hits Rs. 10,675 in Peshawar with sharp hikes nationwide; Punjab and Sindh face significant inflation

ؓBefore the restriction on delivery, the price of 100 kg wheat was Rs. 6175 and 20kg flour was Rs. 1430. On Oct 22, the price of 100kg wheat reached Rs. 10675 and 20kg flour reached Rs. 2,800, with an 84% increase of price. The price of 100kg wheat was Rs. 9600 in Rawalpindi, Rs. 9375 in Lahore, Rs. 9975 in Karachi and Rs. 10,000 in Quetta.
In Khyber Pakhunkhwa, there was a slight increase in the price of food items, especially the implementation of government prices improved. The steps implemented by the Province’s caretaker cabinet, there was significant stability in the prices of wheat and flour. However, other provinces are facing a tremendous increase in the prices.
According to available data, on 13 October 2025, the price of 100 kg mill flour in Peshawar was Rs. 6175 and 20kg flour was Rs. 1430. On 22 October, there was 84% increase in prices and 100 kg flour reached Rs. 10,675 and 20kg flour reached Rs. 2800.
In Islamabad, the price of 100kg flour was Rs. 6275, 20kg was Rs. 1630, and in Lahore 100kg flour was Rs. 9375 and 20kg flour was Rs. 1450. In Karachi, 100kg flour was sold at Rs. 9975, and 20kg at Rs. 1470, however in Quetta, 100kg flour was sold at Rs. 10,000 and 20kg at Rs. 1480.
In the month of August, the price of wheat was set at Rs. 6200 for per 100kg and Rs. 1430 for 20kg.
However, the measures implemented in Peshawar saw a slight increase, but in other provinces, there was a significant increase in the prices of wheat and flour.
According to the sources, the necessary measures were taken by the Cabinet for the stability of the rpices of food items, which has yielded substantial results.
