Temporary traffic schedule announced for KKH in Hassanabad, Hunza
One-Way Route Opens with Set Timings to Ease Travel and Goods Movement After GLOF Damage

Traffic schedule have been announced on temporary diversion made on Karakoram Highway, which was closed due to eruption of Glacial Lake Outburst in Hassanabad, Hunza.
According to department of communication, this diversion has been opened for one-sided traffic where work continues to make it better and wide.
The timings for the temporary route of traffic are as:
- Open: 6:00 pm – 9:30 am
- Closed: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
- Open: 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm
- Closed: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
However, ambulance and other emergency service vehicles are allowed to cross all time.
It is to remeber that the vehicles were turned to Nagar due to the closure of this section of highway, which was effected by river, after which there was inflation and scarcity of goods. However, tourists and passengers also faced a lot of difficulty during travel.
In this situation, before three days, it was announced to open this section, after which there was hope tat this issue will be solved soon.
Public was appealed to follow the timings and contact related organization in emergency situations. Work has started to open the permanent highway after this temporary arrangement.
