Death toll from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa floods rises to 393

The death toll from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cloudburst-induced flood has reached 393, as reported by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Thursday morning.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a report detailing the loss of life and property in various districts of the province due to heavy rains and flash floods.
The Malakand, Hazara, and Mardan divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been severely affected by floods triggered by cloudbursts, resulting in approximately 400 fatalities. Efforts to locate missing individuals continue alongside ongoing relief operations in the affected areas.
So far, 393 people have died, and 190 have been injured in various incidents caused by the rains and floods in the province. The fatalities include 300 men, 53 women, and 40 children, while the injuries comprise 145 men, 27 women, and 18 children.
According to the report, a total of 1,618 houses have sustained damage due to the heavy rains and floods. Of these, 1,185 houses were partially destroyed, and 433 houses were completely destroyed.
In the most flood-affected district of Buner, the number of displaced individuals has reached 234, while 42 individuals have been displaced in Swabi.
These incidents have occurred across several districts in the province, including Swat, Buner, Bajaur, Mansehra, Shangla, Lower Dir, Battagram, and Swabi.
The PDMA has directed the administrations of the affected districts to intensify relief efforts and provide immediate assistance to the victims.
