Hundreds stranded for 28 hours on KKH in Hunza due to road blockade

Local residents have been protesting against arrest of local leader

Thousands of tourists and local travellers have been stranded on the Karakoram Highway (KKH) for over 28 hours due to an ongoing sit-in and protest in the Harespo and Sikandarabad areas of the Nagar district. The protest was sparked by the arrest of a local political activist.

Stranded travellers are appealing to both the government and the protesters to restore traffic flow immediately, as they are facing extreme hardships, including a lack of food, water, and medical assistance.
